Movement, as a term, refers to the process of change. This change can be physical, from a place to another, from one position to the next. But it can also be conceptual, from a belief to another, from status quo to the next. Movement is everywhere, but it is rarely placed at the forefront. The Graduate Archaeology at Oxford conference of 2025 aims to focus on such motion. Examples of relevant topics include, but are not limited to:
- Study of migration
- Travelling of artistic trends
- Road and pathway modelling
- Evolution of societal norms
- Population displacements
- Reconstruction of lived experiences
We gladly invite graduate researchers to join us and share their work with the archaeological community. We welcome posters and papers across all geographical and chronological contexts to be presented at the conference in Oxford from the 23rd to the 25th April 2025. Abstracts should not exceed 300 words and must be sent to gao2025@arch.ox.ac.uk by Friday 20th December 2024.
Speakers will have the opportunity to be published, if interested, in a peer-reviewed Conference Proceedings with BAR Publishing.
We greatly look forward to your contributions. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the conference coordinators at gao2025@arch.ox.ac.uk.
